Dalkeith Miners Club hosted our player of the year function at the weekend, as the club reflected on another successful and competitive season in the East Premier Juniors.

Club President Tom Gilhooley thanked all in attendance, and presented the Player of the Year award to SEAN LALLY. Sean had a tremendous season for the Jags, performing in a number of positions. The lad always commits his all for the team and thoroughly deserves this recognition.

Players Player of the Year went to DAVID MORRIS, who also collected the trophy for Top Goalscorer - David was a match winner on a number of occasions for Dalkeith and it is no surprise that he picks up this award for the second time at the club.

Vice President George Graham presented a new supporters award for Best Newcomer to PAUL TANSEY for his outstanding contribution towards the end of the season.

George thanked the club's supporters, sponsors, volunteers, committee, players and coaching staff for their efforts this season.

He also announced that next season we start with 2 new teams - our newly formed Under 19s side, who will compete in the South East Region League, and our new Sunday Amateur team also formed under the Dalkeith Thistle FC banner.

The event draws the season to a close, and we now look forward to season 2015/16 with great enthusiasm!
